Man Charged With Eighth DUI

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - A 44-year-old Elgin man was arrested in recent weeks for his eighth DUI, according to the Daily Herald.

Joseph Martinez is being held on a $150,000 bail and is charged with a Class X felony. Police were called to an area near Sutton and Golf roads in Hoffman Estates on July 15 for a report of a reckless driver and a passenger who tried to kick out a window, according to the article.

Martinez submitted to a breathalyzer and had a BAC of .14, the Daily Herald reports.
