Man Wanted For Running Marijuana Grow Operation In Basement
Authorities are searching for Vladimir Srebnik, 37, of West Dundee.

KANE COUNTY, IL - Authorities are searching for a West Dundee man who is accused of running a marijuana cultivation operation in his basement. Last week, a $100,000 warrant was issued for the arrest of Vladimir Srebnik, 37, who is charged with unauthorized production of cannabis sativa plants, a Class 2 felony, and obstructing justice, a Class 4 felony, according to a news release from the Kane County State’s Attorney.
Srebnik, of the 1300 block of Chadwick Court in West Dundee, is accused of knowingly and unlawfully producing and possessing more than 50 but fewer than 200 marijuana plants in his residence. Police also said he knowingly destroyed evidence of a crime, according to prosecutors.
If convicted of the most serious offense, Srebnik faces a sentence of probation or between 3 and 7 years in prison.

A warrant was issued last week for Srebnik's arrest and his bail was set at $100,000 with 10 percent ($10,000) to apply for bond, according to the news release. As of Monday afternoon, Srebnik was not in custody at the Kane County Jail, according to online jail records.
