DIETER BIERWIRTH SENTENCED TO ELEVEN- AND ONE-HALF YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF ARMED ROBBERY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Dieter Bierwirth Jr., 54, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, was sentenced to eleven-and one-half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by Honorable Judge Robert Wilbrandt after pleading guilty to Armed Robbery, a Class X Felony. 

On November 1, 2020, Bierwirth used a knife to rob an employee of a gas station in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

This case was investigated by the Crystal Lake Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Brian Miller of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
