More Details On Use Of Former Dominick's Property Released
U-Haul representatives are in talks with a retail company to move into the space formerly occupied by Dominick's.

You may have heard U-Haul International Inc. has purchased the former Dominick's property at Algonquin and Randall Roads in Lake in the Hills. If you were like many of the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Patch Facebook users commenting on a story we published last week regarding the buyer of the property, you were not thrilled by the idea of U-Haul using the 72,000-square-foot vacant space formerly occupied by Dominick's for self-storage. Well, if that is the case, you should be happy to know that U-Haul plans to instead use the front parking lot suites on the south side of the building for its retail showroom, 60 indoor climate-controlled self-storage units and a truck-sharing space, according to the Northwest Herald.
Tenants that currently rent the space on the south side of the building, including Miracle Ear, H&R Block and GNC, will move out with possible plans to house those businesses in vacant suites in another building north on Randall Road, which was also a part of the recent $5.05 million sale, according to the newspaper.
Meanwhile, U-Haul representatives are in talks with a retail company to move into the space formerly occupied by Dominick's, according to the article.
