Pair Robs Marengo Pharmacy of Prescription Drugs

The armed robbery occurred hours after a massive explosion damaged more than 50 homes in the small town of Marengo Sunday morning.

As authorities were dealing with a massive explosion that rocked the small town of Marengo Sunday, a pair of armed robbers held up a pharmacy in town and got away with prescription drugs, the Northwest Herald reports. Police were called to the Marengo Community Pharmacy, 308 S. State St., late Sunday morning. A three-hour manhunt followed before police tracked down and arrested the man and woman in the area of 305 N. State. St.

Timothy J. Hill, 28, and Nancy A. Eiring, 40, have been charged with aggravated robbery with a firearm, according to the Northwest Herald. And before police took the two to jail, they sent them first to the hospital to make sure they did not overdose on drugs they had ingested.

Both Eiring and Hill are being held at the McHenry County Jail. They are expected in court Monday morning, according to online jail records.
