Pickup Plunges Into Lake Off Rakow In LITH
Two witnesses helped the 62-year-old driver out of the truck before it submerged.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — A pickup truck plunged into the lake south of the Three Oaks Recreation Area south of Rakow Road Sunday afternoon, according to reports.
The Northwest Herald reported that around 12:25 p.m Sunday, LITH police responded to the scene on a report of the accident between Virginia and Pingree.
Two witnesses saw the man drive his Toyota Tacoma into the lake. He was driving west, the Herald reported, when he crossed over the median and continued down the hill and into the lake. They helped him out of the truck before it fully submerged.

The driver, a 62-year-old an, was found on the shore of the lake, the Herald reported a LITH Police Department press release as saying. He was taken to Sherman Hospital for treatment.
