Police Search for Woman Accused of Robbing Jimmy John's

The armed robbery happened Friday night.

The Huntley Police Department is asking for the public’s help as they work to track down a woman accused of robbing a Jimmy John’s in Huntley last week.

The woman entered the Jimmy John’s at 9704 North Route 47 in Huntley at about 8:53 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cash register, according to a news release from the Huntley Police Department.

The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of money and the woman left the store heading south from the scene. No one was injured in the incident

The Huntley Police Department searched the area with the help of the Lake in the Hills Police Department and a K-9 Unit from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect was not immediately located and police are continuing to search for the woman.

The suspect is described as a white woman in her mid to late 20s, approximately 5-feet 4-inches tall with an average build. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and was wearing pink-rimmed glasses and light blue jeans with sequins on the back pockets.

The suspect may have left the scene traveling east on Rainsford Drive in a silver mid-sized SUV, possibly a Nissan Rogue or Murano.
