Longtime Employee Injured When SUV Crashes Through Crystal Lake Flower Shop
The crash occurred Wednesday morning at Countryside Flower Shop, Nursery and Garden Center on Terra Cotta Avenue.

An SUV crashed through a glass window at Countryside Flower Shop, Nursery and Garden Center Wednesday, damaging parts of the building at 5301 E. Terra Cotta Ave. and injuring a long-time employee, the Northwest Herald reports. Cashier Deanna Lowenheim and the injured employee, who has worked at the garden center for the past 15 years, were the only people inside the store when the crash occurred at about 11:40 a.m.
The employee was taken to Centegra Hospital - McHenry with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV was treated at the scene and released, according to the Northwest Herald.
