Car With Dog Still Inside Stolen From Cary Jewel Parking Lot
The Chihuahua/Pomeranian, Bruiser, is still missing after a Cary woman's car was stolen with the dog still inside Tuesday evening.

The Cary Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a car that was stolen with a dog still inside this past Tuesday from the Jewel-Osco parking lot.
Cary resident Hillary Kaplan said she left her car running with her Chihuahua/Pomeranian, Bruiser, inside as she quickly ran into Jewel with her daughter to get a pizza, the Northwest Herald reports.
The 2010 Gray Suzuki Grand Vitara was taken at about 5:45 p.m. from the Jewel-Osco at 696 Northwest Highway, said Scott Naydenoff, Deputy Chief of Field Operations for the Cary Police Department. As of Thursday afternoon, detectives had not located the car or the dog.

As for Kaplan, she says she does not care if her car is returned but she is desperate to get Bruiser back home.
"I don't care about the car, I just want our dog back," she said.
Anyone with information regarding the stolen vehicle and missing dog are asking to call the Cary Police Department’s Investigation Department at 847-639-2341.
