Teens Charged With Retail Theft / DUI Arrests / Drug Charges: Algonquin Blotter
A look at Algonquin Police Department reports in recent weeks.

The Algonquin Police Department made the following arrests in recent weeks:
- Sebastian J. Pietrzyk, 20, of 624 Anderson Drive in Lake in the Hills, was charged at 8:51 p.m. on Jan. 19 Criminal Trespass to Property. He was taken into custody at 911 Timberwood Lane in Algonquin. He was released with a court date in McHenry County.
- Jesse S. Heckenberg, 21, of 430 Shagbark in Algonquin, was arrested at 10:07 a.m. on Jan. 21 at Hanson and Algonquin roads. He was charged with driving while license revoked and expired registration. He was released with a court date in Algonquin.
- Joseph M. Scarso, 44, of 365 Stonebrook in Algonquin, was arrested at 12:38 a.m. on Jan. 21 at Algonquin and Hanson and was charged with driving while license suspended and speeding. He was released with a court date in McHenry County.
- Dshon L. Floyd, 18, of 9836 Aberdeen Lane in Huntley, was taken into custody at 224 Randall Road in Algonquin at 4:14 p.m. on Jan. 21. He was charged with three counts of theft and was released with a court date in McHenry County.
- Linda L. Bierdron, 55, of 1240 Saddle Ridge Trail in Cary, was arrested at 1:59 a.m. on Jan. 15 at Cary-Algonquin Road and North Main Street. She was charged with DUI, DUI BAC Over .08, Illegal Lane Use, and No Valid Insurance. She was released with a court date in McHenry County.
- Emily Y. Ochoa, 18, of 775 Adams Street in Elgin, was arrested at 4:43 a.m. on Jan. 15 at Randall and Longmeadow. She was charged with DUI/Drugs, No DL, No Insurance, and Improper Lane Use. She was transported to the McHenry County Jail.
- Jose G. Mendez, 26, of 223 N. McLean Boulevard in Elgin, was arrested at 5:18 a.m. at Randall and Longmeadow and charged with possession of cannabis. He was also wanted on a warrant out of the Carpentersville Police Department. He was given a court date for the Possession in the Algonquin Municipal Court and turned over to Carpentersville PD.
- Suzanne M. Hough, 55, of 715 Yorktown Drive, was arrested at 5:27 p.m. on Jan. 15 and charged with DUI, DUI BAC Over .08, and Electronic Communication Device. She was taken into custody at 2600 Amber Lane in Algonquin. She was released with a court date in McHenry County.
- Miles E. Szewczyk, 19, of 1303 Cunat Court Unit 2C in Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 861 Providence at 10:35 p.m. on Jan. 15 and charged with Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Illegal Lane Use, No Insurance and Failure to Reduce Speed. He was released with a court date in McHenry County.
- Darnell Walker, 29, of 2430 Millbrook Drive Apt. 108, was taken into custody on a warrant for battery of Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois on Jan. 16. He was taken into custody at the same location and transported to the McHenry county Jail.
- A 15-year-old Crystal Lake boy and a 17-year-old McHenry boy was arrested at 1410 S. Randall Road at 7:22 p.m. on Jan. 17 and both were charged with retail theft. They both were referred to Peer Jury and released to a parent.
- Two 16-year-old girls, both from McHenry, was arrested at 9:23 p.m. on Jan. 16 at 1410 S. Randall Road and charged both with retail theft. They both were referred to Peer Jury and released to a parent.
