Violent Crimes Up In LITH, Down In Algonquin: FBI Crime Data

Crime stats from 2016 were released this past week by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Uniform Crime Reporting Program.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL – The village of Algonquin has seen a decrease in violent crime from 2015 to 2016 while property crimes also dipped during that same time frame. Meanwhile, the village of Lake in the Hills has seen an increase in violent crimes and an increase in property crime. Crime stats from 2016 for both towns were released this past week as part of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Uniform Crime Reporting Program.

Crime in the United States 2016 is a compilation of information reported to the FBI by more than 16,000 law enforcement agencies nationwide.
