If you could choose what would fill at 2075 E. Algonquin Road in Algonquin, what would it be?
The 32,000 square foot building has . As far as potential buyers, there have not been any, “really strong leads, but there has been some interest in the building,” said Russ Farnum, community development director for the village of Algonquin.

Farnum said that family entertainment and recreation users would be most interested in this type of building. The ceiling is only 14-feet tall, which would be too short for some retail users.
“It is workable," he said. “But even newer retail stores like the high ceilings for tall racking.”

The bowling lanes and equipment have been removed from the building, but a full kitchen remains.
“Just because we have an empty building doesn’t mean it is a bad thing,” Farnum said. “If Brunswick was struggling to stay open, and we get a new, more popular business for our community, that is the natural part of the economic cycle.”
