1 Killed In Arlington Heights Crash
The collision happened Friday afternoon at Hintz and Arlington Heights roads.
ARLINLGTON HEIGHTS, IL — One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Arlington Heights. The collision happened just before 4 p.m. on Friday when a red sports utility vehicle turned left from northbound Arlington Heights Road onto Hintz Road, according to a news release from the Arlington Heights Police Department.
The SUV was hit by a yellow compact car that was headed south on Arlington Heights Road at the time, according to authorities.
When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they found the SUV driver unresponsive with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics treated the driver and transported the driver to a hospital. Emergency department medical staff were not able to revive the driver who died shortly after arrival at the hospital, according to police.

The car's driver was evaluated by Buffalo Grove Fire Department paramedics but was not transported to a hospital. There were no other passengers in either vehicle.
The collision partially closed the intersection of Hintz and Arlington Heights roads until 9:30 pm.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. An autopsy was performed on Saturday and the name of the person killed in the crash has not yet been released.
