$3K Dog Stolen From Pet Store: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

The 2-month-old cream-colored French bulldog was stolen from Little Paws Rescue, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

A 25-year-old man is accused of operating a motor vehicle with no driver's license, operation of a vehicle with a suspended registration, and was arrested at 7:25 p.m. Nov. 20, at Motel 6, 441 W. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Nov. 23 was assigned.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

  • Alejandro Ambriz-Santos, 38, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 10:08 p.m. Nov. 20, in the 0-10 block of W. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Nov. 30 was assigned.
  • Demitrio R. Gonzalez, 41, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 6:08 p.m. Nov. 21, in the 600 block of N. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $14,000.
  • Alexander Maegdlin, 26, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, was driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 2 a.m. Nov. 21, at Arlington Heights and Golf roads. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Dec. 20 was assigned.
  • Brandon L. Tripp, 26, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 11:50 p.m. Nov. 18, in front of the Shell station, 2340 S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $5,000.

INCIDENTS

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

  • A person called police at 9:40 a.m. Nov. 7, to report several vacant businesses within International Plaza, 300 block of E. Golf Road, had windows broken. The cost to replace the windows is unknown at this time.
  • A resident in the 600 block of N. Forrest Avenue reported at 10:30 p.m. Nov. 9, seeing four to five teenagers outside his house when he heard a loud bang on his window. The subjects left in a silver SUV. The resident checked the window and observed it to be broken.

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee of Dick's Sporting Goods, 401 E. Palatine Road, reported at 2 p.m. Nov. 7, two people entered the store and took approximately $750 worth of Nike and North Face merchandise. One was wearing a green hat, black sweatpants and a black sweatshirt, and the other was wearing a Looney Tunes jacket.
  • An employee of Dick's Sporting Goods, 401 E. Palatine Road, called police at 5:55 p.m. Nov. 12, to report two unknown subjects entered the store and stole a set of Taylor Made Stealth golf clubs worth approximately $1,000. The suspects are described as unknown gender and race, with one wearing a red Anaheim Angels hat, white jacket and red pants and the other wearing a green winter hat, black jacket and blue jeans.
  • An employee of Walgreens, 3 E. Golf Road, reported at 3:15 p.m. Nov. 8, three people entered the store and stole approximately $5,114 worth of medications and cosmetics. The suspects are described as:
  1. Female, white, medium build, approximately 30 years of age, wearing white shoes, gray pants, gray sweater and a black jacket with long straight dark-colored hair with light colored highlights.
  2. Female, black, small build, approximately mid-20 years of age, wearing brown boots, light blue distressed jeans, black puffer jacket and a surgical mask with long straight black hair fixed in a ponytail with a long yellow ribbon headband.
  3. Male, white, medium build, approximately late 30s years of age, wearing black gym shoes, gray pants, black zip-up jacket a surgical mask and a black baseball cap.

BATTERY

A citizen called police at 3:25 p.m. Nov. 7, to report while he was walking in the 1500 block of N. Ridge Avenue, five to six subjects exited a dark-colored SUV and attacked him with tennis rackets. The male driver had a mustache and was wearing a gray beanie hat.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES

  • A citizen reported that during the overnight hours of Nov. 10, someone stole the catalytic converter off his 2003 Ford Econoline in the 800 block of E. Falcon Drive. The cost to replace the catalytic converter is unknown.
  • A resident in the 2200 block of N. Verde Drive reported at 4:45 p.m. Nov. 11, two people stole the catalytic converter off her 2007 Mitsubishi while parked in her driveway. The suspects are in their 20s and left in a gray Infinity sedan.

THEFT

  • A citizen called police at 10 a.m. Nov. 10, to report someone stole his Series 5 Apple Watch, worth approximately $400, from his gym bag while in the locker room of LA Fitness, 345 E. Palatine Road.
  • An employee of Little Paws Rescue, 1457 E. Palatine Road, reported at 6:35 p.m Nov. 10, someone stole a 2-month-old cream-colored French bulldog, valued at $3,195. The suspect is described as a white female approximately 5-foot-6, medium build, with blonde hair, a nose ring, wearing black leggings and a tan sweatshirt. The suspect left and entered a black sedan driven by a white male with a thin beard.
