4 Armed Men Steal Jewelry, Attempt Car Theft At Casino: Des Plaines PD
The incident occurred early Monday at Rivers Casino, according to police.

DES PLAINES, IL — A group of armed men attempted to steal a car, before robbing two people, early Monday morning at Rivers Casino. Police responded to 3000 S. River Road at 1:45 a.m after receiving a complaint via 911.
The complainant told police four men with guns attempted to steal her vehicle. The woman's husband and two friends were exiting the casino, walking toward her car, when she saw a man wearing a full-face cover inside the vehicle. They then saw three others, one standing in front of their car holding a gun, and the other seated in a silver Volvo parked just to the north of the Jeep.
The husband attempted to approach the driver's side of the couple's vehicle when one of the men in the Volvo flashed a firearm at him and advised him to stay away. The couple then walked away from their vehicle and called police.

The man in their car then exited the vehicle, ran toward the husband, pointing a firearm in his face and forcefully removing a silver necklace from around his neck, according to police. The same man then approached one of the couple's friends, pointed the gun at him, and ripped a silver necklace from his neck. The man then ran toward the Volvo and the group fled the scene.
The victims declined medical attention, stating they were uninjured.
