$5,000 Worth Of Items Stolen From T-Mobile: Police
The Arlington Heights Police Department reported the theft at T-Mobile and other thefts and criminal damage reports made in recent weeks.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The Arlington Heights Police Department responded to several reports of theft and criminal damage to property in recent weeks:
- The Arlington Heights Police Department received a report of damage to the front tires, driver's side doors, rear quarter panel and rear fender of a vehicle that was parked legally in a parking stall at the Dana Point Apartments, 1405 E. Central Road in Arlington Heights. The incident occurred between 7 a.m. on Jan. 18 and 6:50 a.m. on Jan. 20. The cost to repair the damage is not known.
- Two unknown offenders entered a home in the 1900 block of North Fernandez Avenue through a window. No one was home at the time of the entry, which occurred between 4 and 8:30 p.m. The offenders took electronics, sports memorabilia and jewelry.
- An unknown offender took a package from a public package delivery area at The Residences, 2210 S. Goebbert Road, between 10:30 and 11 a.m. on Jan. 10. The contents of the package are valued at $128.
- Authorities are investigating the theft of an envelope containing about $480 from a person's purse while the purse was left unattended in an unlocked locker in the break room at First Step Foot Care, 149 W. Rand Road. The victim was an employee and the money was taken between 2 p.m. on Jan. 13 and 6 p.m. on Jan. 17.
- A guitar valued at $1,100 was stolen from the sales floor at the Guitar Center, 2375 S. Arlington Heights Road in Arlington Heights. The incident occurred between 9 a.m. on Dec. 4 and 9 a.m. on Jan. 14. The missing guitar was discovered during a routine inventory.
- Two men concealed more than $5,000 worth of merchandise before walking out of a T-mobile at 1990 N. Arlington Heights Road in Arlington Heights earlier this month. Authorities said the first male offender is described as being a black man who is 25 years old and is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weights 160 pounds. He has short black hair and was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt with multi-colored lettering and sweatpants, according to the police report. The second offender is also described as being a black man who is approximately 25 years old, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has short black hair and was wearing a navy-hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants. The offenders were last seen leaving the area on foot across the parking lot following the theft, which occurred about 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 15. The total retail value of the merchandise stolen was $5,060.
