9 Cars Stolen At Repair Shops: Arlington Heights PD Blotter
The cars were stolen on the same night at two different car collision repair stores, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS
VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Ali Odean Barnaby, 21, had an in-state warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 1:36 a.m. Dec. 12, at Wilke Road and Grove Street. Bond was set at $7,500.
ASSAULT

Daniel Carranza Bueno, 38, is accused of assault, and was arrested at 12:08 a.m. Dec. 11, at Blitz Sports Bar, 286 W. Rand Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of Jan. 19, 2023, was assigned.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Timothy S. Copeland, 34, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 9:35 p.m. Dec. 15, at E. Thomas Street and N. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of Jan. 4, 2023, was assigned.
RETAIL THEFT
- Yvonne S. Henry, 43, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 4:59 p.m. Dec. 15, at Goodwill, 900 W. Algonquin Road. A court date of Jan. 10, 2023, was assigned.
- Samuel B. Thakurdas, 23, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 4:55 p.m. Dec. 9, at Jewel-Osco, 2302 Lisa Court, Palatine. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of Jan. 4, 2023, was assigned.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
Karley Linnea Johnson, 24, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 12:05 a.m. Dec. 11, in the 800 block of W. Central Road. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Jan. 9, 2023, was assigned.
BATTERY
Kelvin M. Twine, 25, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 3:10 p.m. Dec. 12, at the downtown train station, 45 W. Northwest Highway. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of Jan. 11, 2023, was assigned.

INCIDENTS
THEFT
- A resident in the 1200 block of W. Nichols Drive reported at 5:52 p.m. Dec. 5, someone took an Amazon package from his front porch. The subject is described as a female, 5-foot-2, heavy build, wearing a black jacket and black pants.
- A customer at Target, 1700 E. Rand Road, called police at 3 p.m. Dec. 9, to report someone stole her black Samsung Galaxy S20 while it was in her shopping cart. The phone was valued at $800. The subject is described as a male, in his 30s, 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, with a goatee, wearing a black hat, a black puffy coat and black sweatpants.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
A citizen called police to report that between 2 p.m. Dec. 5 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 6, someone scratched her 2020 Buick while it was parked in a parking lot in the 2200 block of S. Goebbert Road. The scratch extends from the driver's side rear fender to the front fender. The cost to repair the scratch is unknown.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON
A resident in the 800 block of E. Burr Oak Drive reported at 8:58 p.m. Dec. 6, someone attempted to gain entry in to her residence. The subject arrived in a silver Jeep. The subject is described as a male with a mustache, wearing a winter hat and jacket.
BURGLARY
- Officers responded at 3 a.m. Dec. 7 to an alarm at Arlington Collision, 407 N. Salem Ave., and found a garage door open and multiple broken windows. It was discovered four unknown subjects arrived in a black vehicle and made entry in to the business. The subjects subsequently stole three Audis and one Porsche.
- An employee at Gerber Collision & Glass, 1430 W. Northwest Highway, reported that during the overnight hours of Dec. 7, finding a garage door open upon arriving to work. It was discovered one Kia, Acura, Mercedes, Ford and Lexus were stolen.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A resident in the 700 block of N. Forrest Avenue called police to report that between 3:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Dec. 11, someone shattered a glass window, entered the residence and stole personal items.
