Arlington Heights Man Accused in Attack on Pregnant Woman

Justin Gorre, 27, allegedly wrapped a towel around the throat of the woman, who is 7 months pregnant, prosecutors claim.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — An Arlington Heights man is accused of attacking a woman who is seven months pregnant, putting a pillow over her face and towel around her throat, according to the Daily Herald.

Justin Gorre, 27, was charged Friday with aggravated domestic batter, aggravated battery to a pregnant woman, unlawful restraint, violation of an order of protection and interferring with a 911 report in connection with the Sept. 19 attack, the report stated. He is being held on $245,000 bail, and his court date is Oct. 13.

Prosecutors claim Gorre attacked the woman while the two were arguing over his relationship with a female co-worker, the Herald reports. Gorre allegedly used a pillow and towel to restrict the pregnant woman's breathing and even forced a sock in her mouth to prevent her screaming, the report added.
