Arlington Heights Police Receive 2.5% Pay Raise
The Village Board approved the new contract, which is similar to the new agreement with firefighters.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Village police officers will receive a pay increase under a new contract approved by the Village Board last week, the Daily Herald reports. The police deal comes on the heels of a similar agreement the board worked out with Arlington Heights firefighters in March, the report stated.

Under the new deal, members of the Metropolitan Alliance of Police, Arlington Heights Police Chapter 510 will receive 2.5 percent raises on the following dates, the report states:

- May 1
- Jan. 1, 2018
- Jan. 1, 2019
Like the firefighters' contract, the police agreement is for two years, eight months, expiring at the end of 2019, the report added.
Officials on both sides neede only three bargaining sessions to work out an agreement, the Herald reports.
