Arlington Heights Proposes Outdoor Lighting Regulations
Unlike other communities, which followed International Dark-Sky Association proposal, Arlington Heights is not looking to ban "upward-facing light," according to the Chicago Tribune.

The village of Arlington Heights is proposing an ordinance that would regulate outdoor lights and would require the light "be controlled so that glare doesn't spill onto nearby properties," according to the Chicago Tribune.
Arlington Heights first took aim at light pollution in 2009 when Barrington Hills first proposed lighting regulations and a ban on upward-facing lights, which angered some of its residents, according to the Tribune.
