Arlington Heights Rotary Chapter Hands Out $27K in Grants

It's the largest dollar amount the local service group has awarded.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The Rotary Club of Arlington Heights made the summer of 2016 a very profitable one for community groups in the village. The service organization handed out more than $27,000 in grants, the largest amount the Arlington Heights chapter has ever provided, the Daily Herald reports.

The grants—ranging from $500 to $1,500—went to 20 local groups and totaled $27,494, the report stated. Some of the organizations that benefited from the Rotary's generosity included Shelter Inc., the Township High School District 214 Educational Foundation and the Arlington Heights Historical Society.

"Rotary is all about service above self and how we're all connected as a part of a bigger community," Paisley said. "We are honored just to be a supporter and participant in the Arlington Heights community at large," Rex Paisley, the Rotary Club's public relations chairman, told the Herald.
