Arlington Heights Senior Citizens Commission Seeks Nominations for 2026 Kenneth Hood Senior Service Volunteer
Community invited to recognize those making a difference for older adults

The Village of Arlington Heights Senior Citizens Commission is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Kenneth Hood Senior Service Volunteer Award, an annual recognition honoring individuals and organizations who make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults in the community.
This distinguished award celebrates those who go above and beyond through volunteer service, improving quality of life and strengthening connections for Arlington Heights’ senior population.
“Each year, we know there are individuals quietly making an incredible impact,” said the Senior Citizens Commission. “This award is an opportunity for the community to recognize and celebrate those who give their time, compassion, and dedication to others.”

Who Should Be Nominated?
The Commission encourages nominations for individuals or organizations who:

- Provide significant volunteer service to older adults
- Enhance the quality of life for seniors through programs or support
- Positively impact the Arlington Heights senior community
- May reside outside Arlington Heights but serve its older adult population

- Nomination Deadline: June 1, 2026
- Award Announcement: July 31, 2026
The award recipient will be honored at a Village of Arlington Heights Board meeting, followed by a reception celebrating their contributions.
