The library building, drive-up window and bookmobile will be closed to the public through March 29. The library building will be open as a polling place only Tuesday, March 17 from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

- Keep your books, movies and other library materials. All book drops are now closed. Due dates have been extended to April 15. Fines will not accrue while the library is closed.
- The library building, drive-up window, bookmobile and drop boxes, remote and onsite, are closed.
- All library delivery services are not operating during the library closure.
- All library programs and appointments scheduled through March 29 are canceled.
- Staff will be available for chat and email Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
- AARP has suspended all appointments until further notice.
- The Senior Center is closed through the end of March.
Frequently asked questions about library cards and materials
What day will my holds be held through? All materials currently on hold will be available for you to pick-up 1-2 days after the library opens.

When will drive-up and book drops open? When the building re-opens.
Are LINKin requests still happening? You may continue to place holds through our LINKin partners. However, since many local LINKin libraries are also closed, materials requested through these partners may be limited or unavailable.
My library card is blocked, can I still receive online access? Please email or chat us with your library card number for more information
I don’t have a library card. What can I do? Please email circquestion@ahml.info for more information about options available to you.

The library is following guidance regarding event cancelations and social distancing from the Illinois Department of Public Health to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The library will continue to modify services as needed. The most current updates will be posted on our website.
