Car Owner Pulls Would-Be Thief Out Of Driver's Seat: Des Plaines PD
The vehicular hijacking incident occurred Monday afternoon at a gas station in the 1200 block of S. Lee Street, according to police.
DES PLAINES, IL — A car owner pulled a man attempting to steal his Range Rover out of the driver's seat during a Monday afternoon incident in the 1200 block of S. Lee Street. According to police, the vehicular hijacking occurred at around 1:53 p.m. in a gas station parking lot.
The victim's car was parked when a male in his 20s, wearing a mask, was seen approaching the Range Rover. Police said the suspect entered the driver's seat when he was confronted by the car owner.
After being pulled from the car, the suspect fled toward a white SUV and drove southbound on Lee Street.
