Catalytic converter thefts were reported across the village; businesses in shopping plaza were broken into: Arlington Heights Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS
DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

- James A. Adams, 33, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 15, at Rand and Arlington Heights roads. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Feb. 9 was assigned.
- Junior A. Beltran, 22, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Jan. 15, at E. Algonquin Road and S. Tonne Drive. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Feb. 9 was assigned.
- Kamil Gorlo, 37, is accused of driving on a suspended license, speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 4:30 a.m. Jan. 14, at Palatine Road and Windsor Drive.
VIOLATION OF A BAIL BOND
Kenya S. Brower, 25, is accused of a violation of a bail bond, and was arrested at 4:13 a.m. Jan. 20, in the 0-100 block of W. Algonquin Road.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
- Jorge Gonzalez-Escobar, 43, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, no valid driver's license, driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 2:54 a.m. Jan. 19, at Palatine and Schoenbeck roads. Bond was set at $30,000 and a court date of Feb. 15 was assigned.
- Junior Lopez, 21, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, no valid driver's license, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, and was arrested at 2:06 a.m. Jan. 19, in the 700 block of W. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 11 was assigned.
- Alejandro Vargas Lopez, 26, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08, leaving the scene of an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 1:21 a.m. Jan. 18, at S. Arlington Heights and E. Golf roads. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of March 24 was assigned.
SPEEDING
- Heriberto Hernandez-Hernandez, 41, is accused of speeding 35+ mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 8:05 p.m. Jan. 14, at E. Palatine and N. Schoenbeck roads. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of March 2 was assigned.
- Victor R. Lopez, 55, is accused of speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 1:55 a.m. Jan. 21, at Palatine Road and Kennicott Drive. Bond was set at $2,000 and a court date of March 2 was assigned.
- Didar Temirbayev, 25, is accused of speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 12:40 a.m. Jan. 18, in the 900 block of E. Rand Road. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Feb. 9 was assigned.

INCIDENTS
BURGLARY
- A person in the 700 block of E. Falcon Drive reported at 11:31 a.m. Jan. 10, someone broke into their storage locker. It was unknown at the time of the report what was taken.
- Several businesses in a shopping plaza in the 300 block of E. Golf Road were broken into during the overnight hours of Jan. 15.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON
A business owner in the 1600 block of W. Suffield Court called police at 4:54 p.m. Jan. 10, to report a man in his 30s was checking doors to surrounding businesses. They left prior to police arrival.
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A resident in the 1100 block of S. Walnut Avenue reported at 8:44 a.m. Jan. 11, finding their mail down the block. It is unknown if it was blown away or someone tried taking it.
HIT-AND-RUN
- A person called police at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 11, to report a white SUV pulled out of a driveway in the 700 block of E. Crestwood Drive and struck the complainant’s gray Ford Escape before leaving the area.
- A person reported at 9:08 p.m. Jan. 11, someone struck their gray Honda Accord while it was parked in the street in the 100 block of E. Hintz Road.
- A person called police at 11:51 a.m. Jan. 16, to report an unknown vehicle struck their black Chevy Camaro while it was parked in the parking lot at XSport Fitness, 900 block of W. Dundee Road.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS
- A person called police at 6:40 a.m. Jan. 12, to report someone stole the catalytic converter from a white Ford F250 during the overnight hours at the Comfort Inn, 2100 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown at the time of the report.
- A person reported at 11:03 a.m. Jan. 12, someone removed the catalytic converter from a maroon Honda Element at some time during the overnight hours in the 900 block of W. St. James Street. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown.
- A person called police at 12:04 p.m. Jan. 12, to report the catalytic converter from a brown Honda Accord was stolen at sometime during the overnight hours in the 500 block of W. Miner Street.
- A person reported at 1:25 p.m. Jan. 12, someone removed the catalytic converter from a Ford F250 during the overnight hours in the 2400 block of N. Kennicott Drive. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown at the time of the report.
- A person called police at 9:02 a.m. Jan. 13, to report someone removed the catalytic converter from their white Mitsubishi Outlander at some time earlier in the week in the 200 block of W. Miner Street. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown at the time of the report.
- A person reported at 9:41 a.m. Jan. 14, someone stole the catalytic converter from a beige Honda CRV at some time during the overnight hours in the 100 block of E. Eastman Street. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown at the time of the report.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
A person reported at 7:14 a.m. Jan. 16, someone entered their white Dodge Charger and stole shoes and clothing in the 400 block of E. Seegers Road.
