Channel your ‘Top Gun Maverick’ at Chicago Executive Airport- Saturday
'Rock n Run the Runway' runners, walkers, and families to explore small aircraft, real runways, live music, fireworks

According to the CARA (Chicago Area Runners Association) calendar, there are more than 100 runs scheduled in the Chicago area this summer. But only ONE 5K run/walk event is issuing a 'no fly zone' for the day to allow runners and aviation enthusiasts to get up close and personal with a busy airport.
With the aviation control tower close by and many small planes parked along the runway, runners, walkers, and kids in strollers will channel their inner pilots as they fly around the runways of the Chicago Executive Airport (CEA), 1080 S. Milwaukee, Wheeling, IL, Saturday, June 25, 8:00 am. Gates open at 5:00 pm for firework, food, and live music.
CEA is the fourth‐busiest airport in Illinois and plays a crucial role as a reliever for the region, which includes Chicago O’Hare. Primary users of the airport include flight schools, corporate travelers, and general aviation.
