Cop On A Rooftop 2023: Where To Find Officers In Arlington Heights

The event, scheduled for May 19, benefits Special Olympics athletes in Illinois.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Officers from the Arlington Heights Police Department will be staking out the rooftop of two local Dunkin' Donuts locations Friday, May 19, as part of the 20th annual Cop on a Rooftop event. Money is being raised for the Law Enforcement Torch Run and will benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

Local officers can be spotted from 5 a.m. to noon atop Dunkin' Donuts at 1010 E. Rand Road and 2106 S. Arlington Heights Road in Arlington Heights.

According to the event's website, more than $925,000 was raised across 315 locations in the state last year. That money helped 21,000 athletes of Special Olympics Illinois.

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Dunkin’ and Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois partnership. This partnership between Dunkin' and Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run has "has been a huge success over the years," with more than $7.6 million has been raised in Illinois.

Each guest who makes a donation to the Torch Run will receive a coupon for a free donut. Guests who donate $10 or more will receive a LETR/ Dunkin’ branded travel mug (while supplies last) and a coupon for a free medium hot coffee.
