Driver Accused of Slapping Boy and Threatening to Break His Legs After Ball Hits Car: Prosecutors
The Arlington Heights man was charged with aggravated battery of a child.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — An Arlington Heights driver is accused of running down, roughing up and threatening a boy after the kid's ball hit the man's car, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Richard Tannous, 29, was charged Wednesday with aggravated battery to a child, the report stated. He was held on $50,000 bail, the report added.
Prosecutors claim Tannous was driving in Rosemont on Oct. 20 when a ball struck his car while two boys were playing nearby, the Tribune reports. Tannous stopped his vehicle and allegedly chased one of the boys, according to the report.

Tannous snatched the boy by his sweater and then allegedly slapped and shoved him, the report stated. He also threatened to break the boy's legs if it happened again before driving off, the report added.
The boy called police about the incident when he saw Tannous driving in the area, according to the Tribune.
