Fake Fire Alarm Reported At Train Depot: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

A male was arrested at the downtown train station, 45 W. Northwest Highway, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

William F. Casper, 57, had a warrant for violation of an order of protection, and was arrested at 5:50 p.m. April 25, at Wingate Inn, 2112 S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $350,000.

BATTERY

Battulga Erdene Ochir, 36, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 5:38 p.m. April 26, in the 1400 block of E. Central Road. A court date of May 18 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Almazbek Mamatov, 39, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, operating a motor vehicle without a license, and was arrested at 2:32 a.m. April 26, in the 100 block of E. Rand Road. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of May 18 was assigned.

FALSE FIRE ALARM

Jose Cesar Mexquitic, 47, is accused of giving a false fire alarm, and was arrested at 5:53 p.m. April 21, at the downtown train station, 45 W. Northwest Highway. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of May 30 was assigned.

UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON

Martin Olivo, 25, is accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, and was arrested at 7:54 p.m. April 24, in the 2400 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of May 19 was assigned.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Andrew R. Preissing, 30, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 6:15 p.m. April 25, in the 500 block of S. Fernandez Avenue. No bond was granted.

INCIDENTS

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

A resident in the 2300 block of S. Goebbert Road reported that during the overnight hours of April 18, someone broke the rear passenger window on her 2013 Kia. The subject subsequently entered the vehicle and peeled back the steering column.

STOLEN AUTO

A citizen called police to report that between 10:10 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. April 19, someone stole his 2022 GMC from a parking lot in the 400 block of E. Seegers Road. The victim had the keys to the vehicle in his possession.

SUSPICIOUS NOISE

A citizen reported at 11:45 p.m. April 19, hearing what sounded like eight gunshots at Gregory Street and Northwest Highway. Officers checked the area and did not locate anything suggesting such.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS OR ACCESSORIES

  • A citizen called police to report that between 10:30 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. April 20, someone stole the catalytic converter off his 2011 Honda in the parking lot of Northwest Community Hospital Wellness Center, 900 W. Central Road. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was estimated at $2,000.
  • A citizen reported that between 6:30 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. April 20, someone stole the catalytic converter off his 2009 Mercury at the Arlington Park train station, 2121 W. Northwest Highway. The cost to replace the catalytic converter was unknown.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

Security at Northwest Community Hospital, 800 W. Central Road, reported at 1:24 p.m. April 21, seeing a white sedan with two males inside parked next to a silver Hyundai. Security then noticed a third male inside the Hyundai rummaging through its contents. The male then entered the white sedan which left the area. The victim later reported an Apple iPhone charger valued at $40 was stolen from her vehicle.

THEFT

  • A resident in the 800 block of E. Shady Way reported at 6:50 p.m. April 22, someone stole an Amazon package from the lobby containing items worth approximately $665.
  • A citizen reported that between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. April 23, someone stole her black Jetson electric scooter in the 100 block of E. Wing Street.
