Resident Reports Tires On 2 Cars Slashed: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

The resident said someone slashed three tires on their 2014 Volkswagen and three tires on their 2018 Volkswagen.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

ARRESTS

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

  • Jamail R. Bradley, 37, is accused of two counts of driving on a suspended license, improper use of registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 6:05 p.m. April 18, at Algonquin and S. Old Wilke roads. Bond was set at $20,000 and a court date of May 23 was assigned.
  • Cody L. Frank, 19, is accused of driving on a suspended license, improper use of registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 4:40 p.m. April 14, at W. Algonquin Road and S. Briarwood Drive. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of May 24 was assigned.

BATTERY

Lauren A. Eilken, 34, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 3:36 a.m. April 14, in the 300 block of E. Seegers Road. A court date of May 18 was assigned.

RETAIL THEFT

Nicole D. Hardin, 40, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 2:33 p.m. April 14, at Ulta Beauty, 13 W. Rand Road. Bond was set at $30,000 and a court date of May 22 was assigned.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Frey Ixtepan Chicago, 25, is accused of criminal damage to property, and was arrested at 2:18 a.m. April 15, in the 1100 block of E. Algonquin Road. A court date of May 18 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Igor Jokic, 41, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 3:32 a.m. April 16, at Algonquin and Golf roads. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of May 18 was assigned.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Sergio Ortiz-Vargas, 32, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 8:56 a.m. April 19, in the 1800 block of S. Highland Avenue. Bond was set at $5,000.

INCIDENTS

VANDALISM

A citizen called police to report that between April 8 and April 11, someone had used a black marker to draw on a portable toilet at Hasbrook Park, 333 W. Maude Ave. The cost to remove the marker was estimated at $50.

SUSPICIOUS NOISE

A citizen in the 3400 block of Stonegate Boulevard reported at 4:20 p.m. April 12, hearing a loud noise and then an engine revving. The complainant was unsure if the loud noise was a gunshot. Officers checked the area and there was no evidence suggesting a gun was fired.

THEFT

A delivery driver reported at 10:35 p.m. April 12, attempting to deliver two pizzas to a customer in the 2100 block of S. Goebbert Road. While waiting for the customer to open the door, two unknown subjects approached the employee and stole the pizzas. The value of the pizzas was $45.45.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A homeowner in the 800 block of N. Dryden Avenue reported at 8:05 p.m. April 13, two unknown subjects, possibly juveniles, kicked her front door twice, causing damage to it.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A citizen called police at 1:15 a.m. April 14, to report someone had entered her locked 2010 Toyota and stole multiple items in the 1100 block of E. Algonquin Road.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

A resident in the 1300 block of W. Sunset Terrace called police on April 14 to report that during the overnight hours, someone slashed three tires on his 2014 Volkswagen and three tires on his 2018 Volkswagen. The cost to repair or replace the tires was unknown.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS

A resident in the 400 block of W. Rand Road reported on April 14 that during the overnight hours of April 14, someone stole the four tires off her 2020 Honda. The estimated value of the tires was $3,000.

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee of Burlington, 30 W. Rand Road, reported at 10:21 p.m. April 13, two unknown females stole $326.78 worth of items, which included jewelry, shoes and purses. The subjects are described as:

No. 1 — white, between 25-30 years old, approximately 5-foot-6, weighing about 270 pounds, blonde hair, wearing a gray sweater jacket, black tank top, black leggings, white shoes, carrying a black Nike bag and a white tote.

No. 2 — white, between 25-30 years old, approximately 5-foot6, weighing about 250 pounds, brown hair, wearing a black sun dress and black shoes.

  • An employee at Walgreens, 3 W. Golf Road, reported at 11:36 p.m. April 14, someone stole an unknown amount of food and beverages. The subject was described as a Hispanic male, 5-foot-8, medium build, wearing a black baseball hat, black hoodie with gold lettering, black joggers and black shoes with a white sole.
