Harmony Fest Marks Conclusion Of Arlington Alfresco Season

The end of summer "block party" will bring food vendors, live music, and family fun Oct. 1-2 to downtown Arlington Heights.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A fall celebration is planned for downtown Arlington Heights next month. Harmony Fest, which will feature food vendors, live music and family fun, will be held on Oct. 1 and 2, according to a news release.

The end of summer "block party" will feature 50 vendor booths, including 18 popular Arlington Heights restaurants serving a variety of food and drinks. A business expo is also planned.

Hours are scheduled for 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, and from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2.

The event is hosted by the Village of Arlington Heights’s Special Events Commission and the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce. Harmony Fest also marks the conclusion of the Arlington Alfresco season, which closes to guests at the end of business on Tuesday, Sept. 28, according to the news release.

Kids activities will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 1 and there will also be acoustic music from School of Rock Arlington Heights on a side stage at Campbell and Dunton. At 6:15 p.m., hear headliner band performances in Harmony Park from Rico!, followed by Mike and Joe at 8:30 p.m.

On Oct. 2, music on the side stage begins at 1 p.m. and family friendly activities will take place at various vendor booths. In Harmony Park, cultural performances will take place from noon to 3:30 p.m., School of Rock Arlington Heights will play at 4:15 p.m., and the Alright Maybes will play at 6:15 p.m. Headlining bands will begin at 7:15 p.m. with music from Serendipity, followed by 7th Heaven at 8:30 p.m.

Saving seats with blankets, tarps, or chairs in Harmony Park is not permitted, according to the news release. Motorists are reminded to avoid parking in private lots and to adhere to signage.
