Homeless Man Accused of Breaking Into Cars in Arlington Heights

Jeremy Swinford is accused of stealing a laptop, sub-woofer and amplifier from cars at a local condo complex.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL - A man who told police he is homeless was charged with several offenses related to nine car burglary incidents at a condominium complex in Arlington Heights.

Jeremy Swinford, 27, was charged with four counts of burglary and two counts of possession of a controlled substance in connection with the incidents between the 1400 and 1600 blocks of east Central Road, according to a report from the Arlington Heights Post.

Police were called at 3 a.m. Monday to a report of Swinford smashing the windows of cars in the parking lot.
