Lawn Signs Stolen; Children's Bikes Taken: Blotter
A number of lawn signs and children's bicycles were stolen in separate incidents around the village: Arlington Heights Blotter.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.
Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Ronald J. Brainer, 28, of Roselle, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested at 9 p.m. Oct. 2 in Arlington Heights. He was scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 6.

Alexi S. Tukumoeatu, 23, of the 800 block of N Ash Street, Waukegan, is accused of criminal damage to property less than $300, and was arrested at 12:55 a.m. Oct. 5 in the 200 block of E Sigwalt Street. Tukumoeatu was assigned a court date of Nov. 6.
INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
- A resident in the 1100 block of N Highland Avenue reported that during the overnight hours of Oct. 10 someone took a lawn sign and a banner from the front yard. The approximate value of the signs is unknown.
- A resident in the 200 block of W Waverly Road called police to report during the overnight hours of Oct. 10 someone took two lawn signs from the front yard of the victim’s residence. The approximate value of each of the signs is $10.
- Someone damaged a stop sign between 2-2:30 a.m. Oct. 10 by knocking the sign to the ground at E Sigwalt Street and South Evergreen Street.
THEFT
- A resident in the 1400 block of W St. James Place reported that during the overnight hours of Oct. 10 someone took a children’s bicycle from the front yard after the bicycle was left unsecured and unattended overnight. The approximate value of the bicycle is $200.
- A resident called police at 3:50 p.m. Oct. 9 to report someone took a children's scooter from the park after the scooter was left unsecured and unattended by the basketball court at Hasbrook Park, 333 W Maude Avenue. A witness saw a person ride away on the scooter westbound from the park. The person is described as a black male teenager, around 5-feet-8, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt with light blue lettering, shorts, and carrying a backpack. The approximate value of the scooter is $200.
- A person called police to report that between 12:11-12:14 p.m. Oct. 9 someone took their wallet from the countertop after the wallet was left unattended at Arlington Jewelry and Loan, 901 W Rand Road. The man is described as black, wearing a gray and black hat, with white sunglasses atop his head, black shirt with an American flag decal on the chest. Contained in the wallet was approximately $25 in cash, along with various credit and identification cards.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
- A person reported that between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Oct. 10 someone entered their unlocked vehicle wile it was parked unattended at Frontier Park, 1933 W Kennicott Drive. Taken from the vehicle was five credit cards and approximately $50. The credit cards were later used fraudulently.
- A person with ABC Plumbing, 220 W Campus Drive, called police to report that during the overnight hours of Oct. 10 someone unlawfully entered a work truck on business property. An unknown tool was used to cut the padlock to the rear of the work truck and gained access to the vehicle. Taken from the vehicle were tools valued at approximately $3,500.
