Wine, Sewing Machine Stolen In Separate Retail Thefts: Blotter
Several thefts occurred in the area at retail stores, including $800 of merchandise at a wine shop: Arlington Heights Blotter.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS
DOMESTIC BATTERY

- Malory Cadet, 41, of Arlington Heights, is accused of domestic battery/bodily harm, and was arrested at 1:34 a.m. Sept. 18. She was taken to court, and is due back Oct. 26.
- Matthew P. Dankert, 38, of Arlington Heights, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 3:37 a.m. Sept. 21. He was bonded out and assigned a court date of Oct. 23.
DRIVING ON SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE
- Stephan W. Buckingham, 35, of the 0-100 block of W Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, and was arrested at 8:49 p.m. Sept. 18 in the 700 block of W Algonquin Road. He was released on bond, and assigned a court date of Oct. 29.
- Arturo Salazar Guerrero, 30, of the 8400 block of Dempster Street, Niles, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license for the second time, driving a suspended/revoked license, illegal possession/transportation of liquor by the driver, and was arrested at 11:35 p.m. Sept. 20 in the 1000 block of S Evergreen Drive. He was taken to court assigned a court date of Oct. 14.
- Jaime Castellanos, 30, of the 7600 block of W 61st Street, Summit Argo, is accused of driving in a suspended/revoked license, and was arrested at 7:46 p.m. Sept. 21 at Algonquin and Reserve roads. Castellanos was bonded out and given a court date of Oct. 9.

- Victor E. Gonzalez, 44, of the 900 block of W Cermak Road, Broadview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested at 12:51 a.m. Sept. 19 at Arlington Heights and Golf roads. He was bonded out, and is due back in court Oct. 23.
- Eli Mercado, 24, of the 3000 block of N Oleander Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 1:29 a.m. Sept. 20 at Arlington Heights Road and Interstate-90. He was released on bond and given a court date of Oct. 29.
- David L. Meeker, 50, of the 800 block of Oakton Street, Elk Grove Village, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 4:46 a.m. Sept. 22 at Algonquin and Arlington Heights roads. He was released on bond, and assigned a court date of Oct. 23.
CRIMINAL TRESPASSING OF A BUILDING
Amndeep S. Thiara, 36, of the 600 block of Trace Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of criminal trespass of a building, and was arrested at 2:47 p.m. Sept. 19 in the 600 block of Happfield Drive. Thiara was released on bond, and assigned a court date of Oct. 23.
RETAIL THEFT
James Michael Smith, 18, of the 500 block of N Beechwood Road, Buffalo Grove, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 8:33 p.m. Sept. 20 in the 400 block of E Rand Road. He was given a court date of Oct. 29.
ASSAULT
David John Bollinger, 31, of the 400 block of S Barrington Road, Wauconda, is accused of assault, and was arrested at 10:31 p.m. Sept. 22 in the 700 block of W White Oak Street. He was released on bond, and assigned a court date of Cot. 13.
FORGERY
William E. Coney, 41, of the 12900 block of S May Street, Calumet Park, is accused of forgery, and was arrested at 6:15 p.m. Sept. 23 in the 200 block of E Sigwalt Street. He was taken to court, and assigned a court date of Oct. 16.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS
Kevin Bogdan Sirant, 18, of the 700 block of Trace Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, unlawful possession of medical cannabis, improper turn at an intersection and was arrested at 9:36 p.m. Sept. 23 in the 1600 block of S Fernandez. He was released on bond, and assigned a court date of Oct. 9.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Gregg Anthony Peterson, 35, of Mesa, Arizona, is accused of criminal damage to property, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested at 12:11 a.m. Sept. 24 in the 0-100 block of W Algonquin Road. He was bonded out, and assigned a court date of Nov. 6.
INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
- A man is accused of concealing merchandise for sale on his person before leaving the Esplandae Wine and Spirits store between 5:50-5:55 p.m. Sept. 21 at 2948 W Euclid Ave. He is described as Hispanic, 5-feet-8, short/medium length brown hair, wearing a blue surgical mask, an orange T-shirt, a black jacket underneath a brown jacket. He was last seen leaving the area in a black, mid-sized SUV with an unknown Illinois license plate. The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is around $890.
- An unknown person took a sewing machine from the sales floor and left Joann Fabrics without paying for the sewing machine between 10 a.m. Sept. 18 and noon Sept. 20 at 373 E Palatine Road. The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is approximately $150.
BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
- An unknown person unlawfully entered the unlocked car of a resident parked overnight in the driveway Sept. 21 in the 2200 block of Ashbury Court. Taken from the vehicle was the resident’s backpack and wallet containing several gift, credit, and identification cards.
- An unknown person unlawfully entered the unlocked car of a resident parked overnight in the driveway Sept. 20 in the 400 block of E Waverly Road. Taken from the vehicle was a phone charger, valued at around $25.
- An unknown person unlawfully entered the unlocked car of a resident parked overnight in the driveway Sept. 21 in the 3100 block of N Windsor Drive. The person was observed via a Ring Video Camera and described as male and wearing a mask. The owner’s belongings were strewn about the vehicle. It does not appear anything was taken from the vehicle.
