Metra Adds Train for Arlington Million Race

The train line serving Arlington International Racecourse also will increase its seating capacity for Saturday's event.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Metra will add additional trail and increase capacity to the cars on its line to accommodate the crowds for Saturday's 34th annual Arlington Million horseracing event at Arlington International Racecourse.

An extra inbound express train will be added to Metra's Union Pacific Northwest Line, which services the horse racing track. The extra train leaves the track at 6:15 p.m., and reaches its final stop at 7:01 p.m.

The Arlington Million is part of the Breeder’s Cup Challenge series and one of one of three races Saturday, Aug. 13. Gates open at 10:30 a.m. and the first race starts at 12:15 p.m.
