Multi-Parish Missions Planned At Our Lady Of The Wayside
Nightly missions are planned next week at a Catholic church in Arlington Heights.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL – What could be considered one of the largest "multi-parish missions" ever held in the Northwest suburbs is planned for next week at an Arlington Heights church. Four Roman Catholic parishes are organizing "Together at the Cross"missions nightly at 7 p.m. from Monday, Jan. 14 until Thursday, Jan. 17 at Our Lady of the Wayside church at 434 W. Park St. in Arlington Heights.
The missions, open to the public, are the result of planning from those associated with Our Lady of the Wayside, St. James and St. Edna parishes in Arlington Heights and St. Mary parish in Buffalo Grove. The four parishes average about 3,000 families each, according to a news release.
“Together at the Cross” will be conducted by Rev. Peter Schavitz, a native of Mount Prospect and member of the Redemptorist order of priests. He has been described as a “dynamic mission preacher.”
