• Former Philips engineer convicted of stealing X-ray tube trade secrets for Chinese competitor (dotmed.com) — A former Philips engineer from Arlington Heights, Vladimir Nevtonenko, has admitted possessing stolen X‑ray tube trade secrets in a federal case tied to a Chinese competitor. Another ex‑Philips engineer was convicted at trial, and two co‑defendants from Aurora also pleaded guilty, with sentencings scheduled later this year and in early 2027.
   

• Hersey, Nawrot rout Hoffman Estates for 2-0 Start (dailyherald.com) — Hersey High School's football team from Arlington Heights rolled to a 42–6 road win over Hoffman Estates, powered by quarterback Jake Nawrot's four touchdown passes and a dominant first half.
