Police Log: Attempted Vehicle Theft and Burglary in Arlington Heights
Money in the center car of one vehicle was stolen, and a second car was nearly stolen, police said.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Money in the center console of a vehicle was stolen out of one car, while a second car was nearly stolen, in Arlington Heights this past week.
An unknown offender removed money from the center console of the victim's car sometime between 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14 and 8:45 a.m. Sept. 15. The unlocked silver 2007 GMC Envoy was parked on the 800 block of S. Highland, police said.
Sometime between the evening of Sept. 13 and the afternoon of Sept. 15, an unknown offender broke into a white Jeep Cherokee at the 2700 block of N. Buffalo Grove Road, police said. The offender damaged the passenger side lock of the victim's jeep to gain entry, but was unable to get the vehicle running.
