Police Log: Recent Activity in Arlington Heights
Criminal damage, wallet theft, and fraud.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following actions were reported by the Arlington Heights Police Department:
- Unknown offenders removed several pairs of eyeglass frames from Lenscrafters at 450 E. Rand between 2:29 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. on Sept. 6, police said. The first offender is described as female, 20 years old, with shoulder length brown hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a button down shirt, sandals, and carrying a large black purse. The second offender is described as a Hispanic male in his mid 20's, standing at 5'11, with black hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, black shorts, and black gym shoes. The third offender is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20's to early 30's, standing at 5'08, with black hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a blue button down shirt, dark blue jeans, and black dress shoes, police said.
- An unknown offender keyed the driver's side door and trunk of the victim's gray 200 Lexus ES300, police reported. The criminal damage happened on 1100 Block E Waverly Dr., anywhere from Sept. 2 at 5 a.m. to Sept. 12 at 8 a.m.
- On Sept. 11 at around 2:10 p.m., an unknown female used fraudulent currency to pay for merchandise at Jewel-Osco at 440 E. Rand Rd., police said. The offender is described as a white female with blonde and pink hair. She's 50 years old, 5'9, and weighs 170 pounds. She was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, black sweater, black jacket, and black sandals, and she was carrying a brown purse, police said.
- Between 6:30 a.m. and 8:13 p.m. on Sept. 13, an unlocked green mountain bike with the value of $380 was stolen off a patio in the 2300 block of S. Goebbert, police said.
- On Sept. 12 between 1:50 p.m. to 2 p.m., unknown offenders removed a Stihl cement cutter at a value of $1,600 from the front of a residence in the 1600 block of S. Surrey Ridge, police said. After taking the cement cutter, the offender got into the passenger's side of a black Chevy Impala driven by a white or Hispanic female. He's described as a white Hispanic male, standing at 5'08, with black hair in a bowl cut style, police said.
- A woman's wallet was taken from her purse at Portillo's Hot Dogs at 806 W. Dundee on Sept. 12 between 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m., police said. The wallet was teal and white plaid and has a $10 value. It contained cash, a driver's license, various credit cards, and a gift card. The offender tried to use the gift card in Schaumburg, police said.
- An unknown offender damaged the door to a business on 3400 block N Kennicott in an attempt to gain entry, police said. The incident took place anywhere from 4 p.m. on Sept. 9 to 7 a.m. on Sept. 12.
- An unknown offender removed items of value from several storage units on the premises at 903 E. Algonquin between 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 10, police said.
