Scratchboard Kitchen Inducted into The Illinois Made Program

For its creativity and chef-inspired dishes, Scratchboard Kitchen, has been accepted into the 2023 class of Illinois Makers, exemplifying authentic and one-of-a-kind experiences created by small businesses. To commemorate the recognition, owner Danielle Kuhn and executive chef Grace Goudie were joined by Arlington Heights Mayor Thomas Hayes, Illinois Office of Tourism's Deputy Director, Daniel Thomas and Meet Chicago Northwest President, Heather Larson to receive their very own Illinois Made Maker plate on March 28.

Each year, the Illinois Office of Tourism selects a group of small businesses that exemplify the hidden gems, experiences, and unique offerings that make Illinois a great place to explore for residents and visitors alike. Located in downtown Arlington Heights, Scratchboard Kitchen is a woman-founded and operated restaurant that prides itself in offering unconventional yet familiar food and drinks made from scratch. Helmed by executive chef Grace Goudie, Scratchboard Kitchen uses high-quality, locally sourced ingredients to create seasonally-inspired dishes that provide comfort and indulgence in equal measure.
