Step Back in Time at the Arlington Heights Senior Center Classic Car Show

Among the automotive treasures on display will be a beautifully preserved 1930 Ford Model A Station Wagon, one of only approximately 2,300 produced during its second year of production. Originally introduced in 1929, the Model A Station Wagon is a true piece of American history, featuring a body constructed entirely of wood from the firewall back. Its owner has proudly showcased the vehicle in numerous local parades and even driven it on several out-of-state adventures. Interestingly, Ford continued producing wood-bodied wagons until 1951, making this vehicle a remarkable reminder of a bygone era.

Car enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to admire a stunning 1976 Chrysler Cordoba, Chrysler's answer to the booming personal luxury car market of the mid-1970s. Marketed as Chrysler's "small luxury car," this particular Cordoba was specially ordered by its original owner with the iconic Corinthian leather interior and distinctive Landau vinyl roof that became synonymous with the model's upscale style and comfort.

Hosted by the Arlington Heights Senior Center, Inc. Board, the annual Classic Car Show serves as a fundraiser supporting programs, services, and opportunities that help older adults thrive in the community. Funds raised help broaden the economic foundation of the Arlington Heights Senior Center and support its mission of promoting healthy, active, and engaged aging. The event is open to the public and will feature classic cars, food vendors, live music, raffles, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow car lovers and community members.
