Motorcyclist Killed In I-90 Crash Near Hoffman Estates

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL — A 24-year-old Texas man was killed early Monday after he was ejected from his motorcycle on Interstate 90 at Barrington Road near Hoffman Estates. Illinois State Police said the single-unit crash happened at around 1:13 a.m.

A preliminary investigation has revealed the man, who lives in Kileen, Texas, was driving his motorcycle through the toll plaza in the eastbound lanes. He then lost control of the motorcycle, struck the left median, before hitting a sign. The man was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:52 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
