ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Nate Harris, 46, of the 1600 block of N Lorel Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving while under the influence of drugs and was arrested at 11:52 p.m. June 13 in the 3000 block of N Arlington Heights Road. He was bonded out and given a court date of July 22.
THEFT

Jeremiah Frederick Zajler, 19, of the 300 block of W Golf Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of theft under $500, criminal trespass of a building; and was arrested at 11:53 p.m. June 14 in the 30 block of W Golf Road. He was released on bond and given a court date of July 30.
AGGRAVATED BATTERY
Benjamin T. Rubel, 19, of the 100 block of Wildflower Circle, Buffalo Grove, is accused of aggravated battery of a peace officer, disarming of a peace officer, and was arrested at 9:50 a.m. June 15 in the 500 block of Wilson Lane. He was held in municipal jail and given a court date of Aug. 4.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
- James R. Schuett, 32, of Sycamore, is accused of domestic battery and was arrested at 10:55 p.m. June 12 in Arlington Heights. He was given a court date of July 16.
- Anthony M. Schultz, 28, of Arlington Heights, is accused of domestic battery and was arrested at 6:45 a.m. June 12 in Arlington Heights. He was given a court date of July 22.
- Kyle D. Stenzel, 21, of Arlington Heights, is accused of domestic battery and was arrested at 2:22 a.m. June 16. He was given a court date of July 17.
- John C. Hartman, 20, of Arlington Heights, is accused of domestic battery and was arrested at 7:01 p.m. June 18.
- Gary A. Gibata, 61, of Arlington Heights, is accused of domestic battery and was arrested at 12:05 a.m. June 19.
INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
- An unknown man is accused of concealing merchandise on himself before leaving Jewel-Osco at 10:50 a.m. June 15 without paying at 122 N Vail Ave. The man is described as white, approximately 30 years old and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black hat, black pants and white shoes. The man was last seen running from the area on foot. The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is approximately $60.
- An unknown person is accused of unlawfully entering Fairprice Tobacco, 39 W Golf Road, between 2-3 a.m. June 12 by using a rock to shatter the front glass window of the business. Merchandise was taken from the business by the person(s). The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is approximately $490. Two days later, between 10:20-1023 p.m. someone unlawfully entered Fairprice Tobacco by using a rock to shatter the front glass window of the business. Merchandise was taken from the business by the person(s). The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is approximately $1,265.
- Three unknown women are accused of concealing merchandise on themselves before leaving Walgreens without paying between 8:27-8:32 p.m. June 16 at 1000 E Northwest Highway. All three were wearing face masks upon entering the store. The first woman is described as white, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The second woman is described as female, heavy build and wearing a white tank top and black shorts. The third woman is described as white, medium build and wearing a pink shirt and shorts. The women were seen via video surveillance leaving the area in a black SUV with chrome wheels and an unknown license plate. The total retail value of the stolen merchandise is under investigation at this time pending final inventory.
THEFT
- An unknown man is accused of stealing lawn equipment from the bed of a landscaping truck parked in the roadway at 11:15 p.m. June 12 in the 900 block of N Hickory Ave. The value of the lawn equipment is unknown. The man was observed by a witness and is described as black, approximately 20-30 years old with dreadlocks and wearing a yellow safety vest and blue jeans. The man was seen leaving the area in a shiny, black newer model Mazda sedan with tinted windows, front end damage and no front license plate.
- An unknown person took lawn equipment from the bed of a landscaping truck parked in the business parking lot between 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. June 15 at Garden Guys Landscaping, 2015 S Arlington Road.
- A resident in the 2100 block of S Goebbert Road reported at 10:12 a.m. June 3 someone took a package from the communal mail area at the apartment complex. The value of the package’s contents is unknown.
- A resident in the 4200 block of N Bloomington Avenue called police to report a package was taken between May 19-28 from the communal mail area at the apartment complex. The value of the package’s contents is approximately $170.
- An unknown person took sporting equipment between June 1-8 from the storage bins at Frontier Park. The estimated value of the stolen sporting equipment is approximately $300.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
- An unknown person(s) made unlawful entry by breaking a realtor’s key box and obtaining the key to the building stored inside between 8 p.m. June 11 and 11 a.m. June 12 into the Daily Herald, 155 E Algonquin Road. Once inside the building, the person(s) discharged a fire extinguisher on the floors and walls of the business. The cost to repair the damage is unknown.
- A resident in the 1200 block of W Northwest Highway reported to police at 1:30 p.m. June 13 that someone damaged the window to a residence and an American flag hanging on the person’s residence near the window. The damage to the window did not cause the window to shatter. The cost to repair the damage is unknown.
- An unknown person(s) damaged a window between midnight June 14 and 9 a.m. June 15 at a business in the 2300 block of S Arlington Heights Road. It does not appear entry was made into the business via the broken window. The cost to repair the damage is unknown.
