Website Maintenance To Affect Arlington Heights Library Services This Week

Placing new holds and renewals will be unavailable for most of the day March 31 due to a website upgrade.

On the morning of Wednesday, March 31, the library’s website will undergo maintenance and a system upgrade. This scheduled maintenance typically takes between 4-6 hours, but it is possible it may take longer. During this time some online resources and library services, such as placing new holds and renewals or using a self-checkout station in the library, will be unavailable. Staff will able to continue to check out new items for customers at the Circulation Desk and drive-up window during this downtime.   • Self-check stations will not be available. In-person checkout service at the drive-up window and Circulation Desk will be available.
  • Overdue notices, due date reminders and holds ready notifications will not be sent while the maintenance is in process.
  • Current checkouts or holds will be unavailable to view on the website.
  • Unable to place new holds or renewals.
  • Users will be able to search the catalog on the website with semi-up-to-date availability (as of the time when the maintenance started).
  • Remote access to a majority of our databases and online learning resources will not be available, along with access to cloudLibrary, hoopla, Kanopy, Libby Magazines and Flipster. In-library access to databases will still be available.
