When Are Halloween Trick-or-Treating Times in Arlington Heights?

Kids in costumes will be out throughout the village Monday. Find out when you can expect them to show up at your door.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Halloween is here, which means Arlington Heights children will be visiting homes around the village, looking for candy and other sweets.

Trick-or-treating hours in Arlington Heights will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

The following safety tips from the Arlington Heights Police Department are to make sure kids have fun while they're out and about on Halloween:

  • Children should trick or treat with an adult and only visit homes with their outdoor lights on.
  • Parents should set neighborhood boundaries and know the routes their kids are taking.
  • A curfew should be set for trick-or-treating kids.
  • Inspect all treats before eating them.
  • Costumes should be flame resistant and made of bright or reflective material that does not impede the child’s ability to walk.
  • Masks can interfere with a child’s sight. Make sure your child can clearly see side to side.
  • Cross streets at the corners, preferably in a marked crosswalk. Use flashlights to increase visibility.
  • Parents should review acceptable behavior with their children.
  • Homeowners should examine their property for hazards and remove unsecured implements that could cause a child to trip and fall.

  • Barrington: 3 to 7 p.m.
  • Buffalo Grove: 2 to 8 p.m.
  • Palatine: 3 to 7 p.m.
  • Rolling Meadows: 3 to 8 p.m.
  • Schaumburg: 3 to 7 p.m.
  • Wheeling: 3 to 7 p.m.
