Woman Struck, Killed By Train Near Arlington Heights: Metra
Inbound and outbound train movement was halted for several hours following the Thursday evening incident.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A woman was struck and killed by a Metra train Thursday night near Arlington Heights. The incident, which occurred at around 10:30 p.m., resulted in extensive delays.
The age and identity of the woman has not been released. She was pronounced dead at 10:38 p.m. by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Inbound and outbound train movement was halted for several hours following the incident involving Train No. 661, according to social media posts by Metra UP-NW. Tracks 2 and 3 released for train movement at around 1:45 a.m.
