YMCA Healthy Kids Day Promotes Fun and Safety for Families
The annual Y event, held on April 29, showcased the fun side of staying healthy and active.
Hundreds of parents and children braved rainy weather to enjoy an afternoon of fun and educational activities at the North Suburban YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day on April 29. The annual event offered a wide variety of games, projects, and presentations to help families enjoy a healthy and active spring. Numerous community organizations and businesses partnered with the Y for delicious food, gardening ideas, parenting tips, and activities ranging from yoga to martial arts to rugby. The Northbrook Fire Department allowed kids to see firefighting gear up close while they learned about fire safety. For more information about community events at the YMCA, visit NSYMCA.org.
