Montgomery Man, 20, Killed In Aurora Shooting That Hurt 4 Others

Police say they believe the shooting was an isolated incident.

AURORA, IL - Police have released the identity of the man who was killed in shooting that injured four others early Sunday in Aurora. The victim was identified as Juanya Booker, 20, of Montgomery.

The shooting took place around 2:30 a.m. in the 700 block of 5th Avenue.

Police responding to a report of shots fired found three people shot, one fatally. All three were taken to an area hospital, where Booker was pronounced dead.

A short time later, two more people came to Copley Hospital with gunshot wounds, police said. All four surviving victims are listed in stable condition, according to police.

Police say they believe the shooting was an isolated incident and does not appear to be a random act.

Aurora police are asking anyone who heard or saw anything in the area between 2:15 a.m. and 2:45 a.m. to come forward with information Anyone with information should call the Aurora Police Department at 630-256-5500.

Aurora Police Department Investigative Services Bureau Commander Jack Fichtel said in a statement, "No matter how small the information might seem, we need people to come forward with any bit of information about what happened early this morning.:
