1 Night, 25 Events: National Night Out Will Happen Throughout Aurora
To celebrate National Night Out Aug. 2, several Aurora neighborhoods are coming together, and events will be held in all 10 wards.
AURORA, IL — One night, 25 events. This year in Aurora, National Night Out will be a city-wide affair as multiple events will be hosted in all 10 wards, officials announced.
National Night Out, held on the first Tuesday of August each year, is hosted in an effort to "enhance the relationship between neighbors, public safety officials and city officials while focusing on strengthening a true sense of community."
Each event — a map of them can be found on the city's website — encourages residents to go outside and spend time getting to know their neighbors, local organizations, law enforcement personnel, and local and elected officials.
