1 Shot In Parking Lot Of Lake Street Business This Weekend: Aurora PD

AURORA, IL — Aurora police continue to investigate a weekend shooting that resulted in one man being hospitalized for gunshot injuries, according to authorities.

Aurora Police Department dispatch received multiple 911 calls just before 1 a.m. Dec. 9 reporting shots fired outside a business in the 700 block of North Lake Street. On the scene, officers found evidence of a shooting in the parking lot, according to a news release issued Monday evening.

Around the time police arrived on the scene, a 29-year-old Aurora man arrived at a local hospital with gunshot injuries, officials said.

Evidence technicians identified and collected forensic evidence from the shooting for the investigation that remains ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the department's investigations division at 630-256-5500.
